Description
The Pulsar 250B/500B transmitters are low power, portable versions of the medium and high power AM transmitters made by Energy-Onix. Both the Pulsar 250B and Pulsar 500B incorporate all the proven features of our higher power transmitter. They represent an economic repackaging that requires only 10 1/2” of relay rack space. They can serve as excellent standby for existing high power transmitters or for pre-sunrise, after sunset, or night time reduced power service.

Options
| Antenna Tuning Unit: This accessory is rack mountable and occupies only 5.25 inches of 19 inches rack space. It is normally used at sites where the AM antenna impedance is not constant and where an additional tuning and loading are required to maintain a minimum reflected power. This unit is capable of carrying 1.5KW of power. |
| Line Surge Protector: Three versions are available. One is used if the line voltage is 115 volts to ground, the second is used if the line voltage is 230 volts to ground, while the third is used if each of the input lines are 115 volts AC to ground and 220 volts with respect to each other. |
| AM Processor System: Energy-Onix offers an economical system which consists of a 3 band processor (Tri-Maze) and a DBX 266XL fast acting compressor. |
